God Tests Us to Bring out the Best in Us!
Tests are good! They expose the finest things from within! What God placed in us at the moment of our salvation, He wants to work out of us! Pardon my excitement, but I get so pumped about this topic!
Here’s what’s in you, Christian: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, self-control, and righteousness–among many other wonderful characteristics! These things shine brightly in the midst of being tested!
Being tested is like working out a muscle. Working it out makes the muscle stronger. Does not working out a muscle make it any less of a muscle? No. It will always be a muscle and nothing can change its genetic structure–but it was meant to be used! This tissue longs to get stronger! That’s what it was made for! That’s what it wants! That’s what you want too, child of God!
Here’s another example. Imagine if Michael Jordan was never tested on the greatest stages of basketball competition? Imagine if he simply bagged groceries at the local supermarket? We would’ve never gotten to see his amazing attributes come to life! If he was never tested, we would’ve missed out on watching him persevere!
Same with you, believer! You have something extremely special on the inside, the world needs to see it! It’s both your unique spirit combined with the Spirit of Jesus! Whereas God doesn’t tempt us, temptation comes from the enemy, God tests us in order to display our outstanding heavenly traits! Let the grace of God work through you during your greatest challenges! You are strong in Him and you’re never alone!
